Hello, I have a 2002 Mercedes C230 Kompressor and would like to know where do i load the dvd navigation discs and where do i get updates for the nav system? The 6 discs CD changer is in the glove compartment and the single cd is on the unit, Is there another location to load the DVD discs? Thanks
Or do like me bought this on ebay around 300euro including shipping i think perfect fit in original stereo's place, mine came with gps installed and gps antenna, i was also given dab+ antenna and interface for can bus steering controls but i didn t use them, oh yea and rear view camera was given aswell and a wifi module.
PS. don t mind the bad condition of the interior... replaced the knob but still haven t gotten around to fixing ac and replacing that worn panel
If it's a stock navigation unit (COMAND) the maps are on CDs, not DVDs, and go in the single disk slot in the unit itself. Updates are via buying new CDs, which they stopped making many years ago. I changed my cassette radio out for a COMAND unit many years ago because I wanted to keep everything stock MB. If I had to do it all over again I'd put in an aftermarket unit (Pioneer/Kenwood, …). I was super bummed when they stopped making map updates for the older units.
