Missing my beloved Benz
my thoughts
On my car, that also came up. After I went to the dealer and had them look over it, they indicated that I needed new BRAKE PADS, RADORS, and SENSORS. Total of or about $850 with installion.
I did some research online and found that Autozone carriers the BRAKE PADS for $35 per axle. I inspected my radors and concluded that they are alright and do not need replacing. My local Benz dealership here in Delaware likes to replace the RADORS while they replace BRAKE PADS so they can get more money out of you.
I also found the sensors online for just alittle over $8.00. Now I just need someone to install both, the sensors and pads. All of which I found to be $95.00.
You can go to the dealership for that service. If you have $850 to waste, then that's cool. If you are someone like me, who likes to save some money when they can, then just go to Autozone.com and input your car information. Have it shipped to your house and have someone install it for you. Saving a total of $685.00.
Sensors are what your car indicates the time when the BRAKE PADS are wearing low.
Hope that helps you.
Sincerely,
James Sell

Why don't you try this rotors and pads
The rotors are for $156 the set (crossed drilled)
and the PADS are $74 the set
go to that link
http://performanceplusbrakes.com/catalog/info_auto_pads_kevlar.php?vehicle_type_id=22&vehic le_make_id=3777&vehicle_model_id=31987&vehicle_yea r_id=32003&vehicle_engine_id=32004&cPath=22_3777_3 1987_32003_32004_32005&sort=2a
I found this page today. I have been looking for rotors and pads for my coupe for the las month.
If you want OEM products there is a store here in miami that sell really cheap
Front pagids are around 45 the set and the rotors are for 40 each sensor for no more than 2 dollars.
the name is Finish line 800-842-7851 or 305-266-9450
If you kow anything about the first link please tell me because i think i am going to get them.
thank you

Missing my beloved Benz
today
Must be a cheap dealer. I called five MB dealers around here and that price doesn't even cover labor. By the way, all four wheels need brakes. Not just the front.

hehe
yeah, all brake pads do the dust thing. To me, if I can save a buck, I will. On one of my cars, I was really into keeping the dust low and went real over board on buying all the nice expensive stuff. I found that it worked just as the other cheap things did. After I looked at the kelly blue book value on my car, I almost had a heart attack. I lost about 24k in just two years on my benz. So now, I don't car if its a benz or not. Its getting the cheap stuff. hehe

Yes, that it is true. But sometimes there is somethings that really work well and that is what i want to find out. I really need to solve the dustying thing becuase it really upset me when I wash the car and then after one ride it goes dirty like if drove the whole week.

Boy o boy, When I usually drive for a long distance and find that brake dust starts.... I just take it to the car wash and comes off. If I let it on for a few days, then it needs force to remove. They also sell wheel guards to cover the inside of the tire from the dust. MB does not recommend installing wheel guards because the brakes do not cool properly. But I found that, in my case, everything was working properly. Just go to your local auto parts store if you were interested. They can tell you more about it.
