tberry, the OEM Euro bumpers have no corner lighting at all, so you don't see any suggestion of corner lights. The body colored versions are simply US-spec lenses painted over to match the body color. They rely on a minimum amount of amber light shining through the paint, although IMO a hint of light hardly qualifies as USDOT street legal.

Since you live in a state with annual safety inspections, you would have to take your chances that the inspection station will pass you with the painted over lenses, or change them back and forth from stock units to pass as USDOT legal in Texas.

the reason why i got those sport badges are because i consider the C7 package a sport package, the only reason why i guess it cant be was because even with the C7 package the suspension is still the same as the non C7 cars. But since i upgraded the suspsnsion i thought it would be ok to have those sport badges on the side.

I got them at the MB parts Dept. They were a little over $40.00 for both.

Page 282 of the sedan manual. Too lazy to retype instructions. Simplyfied: push back, lift up, pull out, replace, reverse everything.

All you do is take your fingers from both hands, and grab the right side of the lens....and push all the way to the left and pull out as you are pusing to the left. Its quite easy. If that does not help look at the manual they show u how.

Thanx, tried that. No luck. Thats why the question. Maybe I'm not hitting the correct word combo for ebay; clear corner, clear lenses, etc.

It says "Sport" like on other mercedes models that have the sport package.

I bought the badges from the MB parts dept. since i consider the C7 package a sport package. The only difference was that the suspension was the same as the non C7 cars, So i think with my ugraded suspension the "Sport" can fit.

I'm trying to remove the stock amber bumper lense and put on a set of new ones, but i'm having a lot of trouble removing the stock ones.

The proper procedure is to push it back towards the rear of the car and pull
the front out right? I'm using my fingers and pulling it back, but it barely moves back because i can't get a good grip on the right edge. Any tips or suggestions?

Its only two steps but i'm having so much trouble

Thanks.

wedge a credit card in between the housing and the impact strip. That'll help more than killing your manicure will.

Thanks Tommy. The credit card worked out and the amber lenses finally came out. Kinda tight, but it finally came out.

The new lenses fit but don't fit quick as snug and tight as the stock ones. Also, the front of the lense is slightly popped out, i could still push it down a little.

Where did you buy your lens ? I installed my neighbor's and they went on great and snug.

Even though mine haven't arrived yet , his look and fit great !!

Does anyone know the difference between the two clear sidemarkers listed at autodynamics?
http://216.82.69.117/search_results....l=3&subcat=440

1) Mercedes Benz C-Class/C-Coupe 01&up Clear Front Bumper Side Lamp
Product ID: MBZC01FBS

2) Mercedes Benz C-Class/C-Coupe (W203) 01&up Euro Clear Front Bumper Side Lamp
Product ID: MBZC01FBS-E

What is the "Euro" difference? (in the thumbnail pictures, the texture of the surface looks different)

Thanks

Dude that's exactly the differnce the euro look has that racy stripe look much nicer i think. I was looking into getting those, but they were much cheaper on ebay brand new than that link you just posted there. I think they were going for $27 Get those instead!

The clear ones are not OEM and will not fit tight or right for that matter. I went through the same thing and finally ordered the color match ones form EVO-SPORT. Then i sold those I got the EURO BUMPER IMPACT STRIPS from the Mercedes dealer. They look so much better and they were only 51.00 each side.
