i installed the autodynamic clear side marker lens today in my 99 E55 and they fit perfectly snug and flush. in fact i had to shave off some of the nubs in order to make them fit. i noticed this thread is 3 yrs old (and in C-Class but same difference hehe), perhaps they have adjusted their moldings to make these markers.

here's a picture of the markers installed and turned on
