Brake light constantly on. BAS/ESP error
I have a 2003 W203 C180K and recently the brake light stay on once I press the brake pedal with the engine on. With the engine off, the brake light will go off when the brake pedal is released.
This model does not have the brake light switch behind the pedal.
This brake light on problem happened before and I replaced the brake pressure sensor and booster travel sensor which solved the problem, but now it is back.
The car also has the ESP/BAS code displayed on the dash panel for the past 1 year. This does not seem to affect the brake light on problem.
The local workshop said the brake booster and master need to be replaced. I find this quite way out.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated.
