first dealer visit
I heard the some plastic squeeze noise from the handling wheel column the other day..so in the early morning, I brought the car in with only 600 miles on it..
Told the service consultant what I heard, the guy even asked me whether it's a squeeze noise or some gear noise...Sounds like he knew what's going on..
When I picked up the car at noon time, the invoice/repair order said "
customer stated squeeze noise from handling wheel column at times.
Can't duplicate the noise from handling wheel column, however, noticed noise from driver's side seat, lubricated to prevent the squeeze noise..

the funny thing is..the noise I heard is GONE..:P
It's really weird, when I drove the car slowly in the parking lot, I can hear the squeeze noise from handling wheel column, even can feel some kind of vibration at the same time... looks like it's not there today...
Anyway, will keep an eye on it and see what will happen in the future...

Consider yourself fortunate that the dealer could fix the noise. My dealer fixed some, can't seem to fix others. As for the sound location, it could be the accoustics inside the car made it seem that the noise was coming from a different location than you thought. I had a squeeky seat problem as well, and I swore it was the rear suspension squeeking until I took it into the dealer. They lubricated the seat, and the noise has been gone ever since. I didn't feel anything through the wheel like you did, however.
