Wipe down the engine and start the car again. The leak should be really obvious. And I'm not talking about the cap either. The cap drains from the top of the tank. You have another leak somewhere else.
I see that you’ve started several threads about the cooling problems on your new car—sorry to see it’s not resolved yet.
In an earlier thread I wondered if you have a blown head gasket. If you’re going through a lot of coolant and can’t find an obvious leak, it might be going out the tailpipe.
A head gasket leak can also cause a lot of pressure to build up in the cooling system. You might try running it with the coolant tank cover of and see if there are a lot of bubbles coming out, especially after the car warms up.
I went through very similar symptoms on my W202 with the M111. I know you’re avoiding the thought of a blown head gasket but I’d check it out before throwing away more money on parts. Go to Autozone (or similar) and borrow their test kit and check it out.
Replacing the head gasket is a time consuming job but doable as a diy. I think mine was about $200 for the gasket kit and head bolts and another $100 to have the head checked and skimmed. On the W202 it was one day to remove, a few days in the machine shop and another day or so putting it back together. Ymmv.
