Hello to all forum members have always been a lurker on here and now I actually have something to post.

i have had my 2004 c320 sport coupe for the past 3 years and it’s been really good.

i have had this project sitting on the back of my mind for quite sometime now and last week pulled the trigger on the project.

i will be taking the m113 out of an S500
and putting it in my Sport Coupé.

its going to be a longish project as I will be doing this all myself and only working on it weekends.

will be doing a complete rebuild of the engine once pulled from the S500.

that way when going in to the SPort Coupé it’s all fresh.

i will keep the thread updated as I move forward with the build.

V8 in SC. Not sure if it's been done.
C55 required CLK front end, so you might end up needing some W209 CLK bits.
I recall one user who put C43 engine in his W203 sedan way back like 10 years ago.
Might be of some help.
Also a guy...umm...what was his name...Dr. Sunil?
Was working on putting E55K motor in C sedan,
but he dropped off before it was finished and never posted completed photo's that I'm aware of.
He did use the CLK front end.
All these things are either here or on benzworld.
Good luck! looking forward to seeing the completed project.

Good news is so far the front end of the Sport coupe doesn’t even need to be changed.

just double checked the EPC

and the part numbers are the same as the clk500 👍🏻

Might get the front changed to the clk so that I could maybe fit the black series kit on it.

but I will still sleep on that.

Yes it has been done and no it doesn't require a CLK front end swap.
