I’ve read that the stock speakers are rated at 8 ohms. Most stock systems use 4 ohm speakers. See this article for background information: https://www.lifewire.com/speaker-impedance-3134705. Any good quality system should be able to drive 8 ohm speakers.

Do you know whether your car has a factory amp? Is it possible that you have connected your head unit to the amp and not directly to the speakers?

Most head units have two sets of speaker outputs. One set is designed to connect the amplifier in the head unit directly to the speakers. The second set provides an un-amplified signal to an external amplifier which in turn connects to the speakers. If you have connected the amplified signal to the car’s amplifier that may be the problem. I suggest that you post a photo of the back of your 2-din unit. That may help me to see what you have.
