C (and others) Reliability statistics
The ADAC Pannenstatistik (German auto club breakdown statistics) were just released for the past year. The numbers in these statistics are the number of breakdowns or "no start" conditions per 1000 vehicles on the road, during 2001. The chart may be seen on the following site:

Notably, the C Class is a fair bit more reliable than the BMW 3 Series, though both cars are considered to be good.

Potentially more useful information than the JDPower info which apparently will say there were 3 problems with my C230K despite them all being simply minor superficial issues. Somehow I think most of us would think a major engine failure is a much bigger problem than not enough grease in the door handle yet they are both considered "1" problem by many of the reliability indices.
