Which headlight is brighter?
As my sig. says I will be getting a 2005 C in a few weeks. The last couple of days I have been noticing my friend's BMW 330i's bi-xenon headlights are very bright. Does anyone with a C-class with bi-xenon lights tell me how they compare with the 3 series in brightness, color, pattern, Etc...
Thanks, Jason

similar. hell i mean they are both BIX. one may be a tad brighter but when you are driving side to side really no difference. do want to know which is brighter or more blue/purple (higher Kelvin temp.)?

dude, i love my BIX. dark roads they are awesome and once you pop on the high beam you are driving what i like to describe a tunnel of light. its so bright, the light from the high beam are literally in the tree tops. my BIX are bright enough for city driving and driving on back roads.

Damn, that's cool! It's so hard to wait!!!! It is comming in 2 weeks. My sales person said it will get shipped on July 1st or the 7th. I don't know how long the ship ride is. One last thing, Is the lighting very uniform across the whole beam pattern, I mean is there any where the light is mor faint then anywhere else? Thanks

i think so. while driving with the low beams, the driver side doesnt reach as high as the passenger side. due to the fact that they dont want you to blind on coming traffic. when you park againt a wall or similar object you will see the beam pattern ___/ ___/ something like that for the driver and passenger lights. so you can imagine that the light one the right side of your car will shine farther and higher than the driver side. still the beam pattern is good enough for me, and i wouldnt spend the $$ to buy E-Code BIX when i think the beam pattern for the US Spec BIX are good enough. if i were upgrading from halogen then id get e-codes, because of the better light pattern. youll be happy with the BIX.

Sorry for the OT, but the thread reminded me of this girlfriend I had with one boob bigger than the other..
She was sweet though, drove an old 240 diesel back in the day.

Bi-Xenons are much more illuminating (in the opinion of everyone I know who has compared them - including myself).
We have Bi-Xenons on my wife's 03 C230 Sedan.
She's trading in her 03 for an 05 and is also again getting the (319) Bi-Xenon lighting package.
I have seen very few other 03's with Bi-Xenons (and we belong to MBCA and attend many events). This is gives the car a distinguishing touch. (We also live in Fort Lauderdale and deal with MB of Fort Lauderdale on US1.)

Having compared the BI-X's on my 03 530 to my sister's 05 C240, I'd have to say that BMW has really mastered the BI-X projector lights. MB has come close and is doing a helluva lot better than the previous generation of Xenons (like that on my w208 CLK) but it's still not as close to natural light as the BMW xenons.
