Driver seat function?

Hey Guys,

The day after I acquired my car I used the electrical control to move the seat all the way back. My jaw literally hit the floor when it would not revert back to the original position after cleaning the interior, I drove it like this for a while. I tried practically everything and to my surprise one frigid morning after a month or two the controls worked for a few seconds and I managed to get it back to right position.

I’m taking my car in for a svc next week. I would like to disconnect the cable under the seat which controls the back and forth motion, so there is no chance of the tech altering the current position. Can someone please confirm which plug on the module under the seat controls this motion?

Thanks!

-Rob

If your car is like mine the yellow plug is for the air bag system. The wide black plug with the brown and blue wire is the seat heater. The black plug with the black and red wire is for the seat power. If you have memory seats the wiring for the memory appears to be on the plug with the seat heaters. You can probably take all the plugs except the one for the airbag and be ok. You may find this helpful: https://cdn4.pelicanparts.com/techar...mall/pic06.jpg
