How is this price?
I found a 2005 C230K for sale. It is Granite Grey Metallic, automatic transmission, cd changer, heated front seats, sunroof package with a Charcoal interior. Dealer told me 500 over invoice, with invoice being $32,538. He has only one in his storage facility, and told me there are currently only 5 other cars with that color.

That is a pretty decent price for an automatic. If it is truely 500 over invoice, that is a good price. You should try to obtain a C-spot coupon for 1500 off. There is some floating around.

Did the dealer give you that figure? Be careful because a lot of them will pad their invoice with advertising fees and the paperwork fee. They spring that surprise on you quite often. Search for a post by MarcusBenz for more insight info.

Im in SoCal so I do not know if the dealers in your area will match carsdirect.com's price, usually about $800-1000 below invoice price. I have been told they do here. And definitely try to get a C-Spot coupon. Good luck!

"What I can offer you on the price is $500 over invoice like we have been discussing, I think that is a fair number on the Mercedes-Benz but like I had mentioned to you before I dont want to loose your business over a 100 or 200 dollars."
Quoted the dealer via email.

Invoice for the car w/ Sunrrof, heated seats, 6-CD changer, auto, and Grantie Grey is $33,138, according to carsdirect.com. That does not include any marketing fees the dealer likes to add on. Carsdirect price is $800 below the stated invoice price. According to your quote it sounds like the dealer wants $500 on top of invoice. Sounds high to me.

05 C230K
dont let dealer trick you by giving you a higher price just because there aren't that many at the dealer. I had to special order mine, its $2000 special ordered. silver/black w/ light is a hard combo to find for the 05 c230K. Im still geting it under invoice eventho the car is hard to find. btw, i went to fletcher jones in newport, largets mb dealer in socal.
good luck huntin,

how much is that under sticker?? unless your getting @ least 2500-3000 under sticker, I think you can do better IMO....one guy here (Turbo 2, I think) got 4K under sticker, but that seemed like a special case...

First of all you need to do your research yourself and not believe dealer numbers. MBs have a markup of 7%, not including shipping/advertising/BS fees, and a 3% hold back.
Second you can for the most part ignore the Cali boys on here because they have a hard time believing that prices in the rest of the country don't match theirs. :p![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Third you have to be happy with the price you pay.

Alright.... Granite Grey Metallic with lighting and sunroof packages with an automatic transmission for $250 over invoice. How does this sound to you use? The car however will have to be special ordered.

Try shakin' him/her for some more freebies like free car-detailing or all season mats, cargo net, etc to make up for that 250. Don't let him/her get away with your hard earned money.

Right...I got mine at $1,600 below invoice and another $1,500 off using the C-Spot. Just tell them you got a better offer elsewhere and ask if they would match the below invoice price. If they want your business, they'll do it. If not, call another dealer.

Carsdirect pricing changes by zip code
Keep in mind that the prices quoted on Cars Direct are different depending on which zip code you enter.
For example, I found a $4,000 difference on a Jag S-Type between Orange County, Cal and Seattle, Wash; where my sister lives.
Each person needs to enter their own parameters before expecting a dealer price match.
