wow. that was so much fun. we were weaving through traffic at about 110. at those speeds the my car pulled better than his. though i do wish the suspension was stiffer. he could weave much better than i could. i need springs.

Me too. There were almost half dozen car wreck fatalities in the Boston area just in the last week. Risking your own life is one thing. Risking lives of innocent people going about their daily business for the sake of a thrill ride is another. I guess some people have no conscience or are too young to have developed one.

Keep it on the track.

not to disagree with the rest of you, but if you notice the time he posted it was almost 3 in the morning, i think his interpretation of traffic is 3 or 4 cars on the road. I do agree he should keep it on the track but i seriously doubt that at that time on a Sunday there was "TRAFFIC"

I'm afraid of driving in Boston at any speed. They have to be the scariest drivers in the U.S.

I think it's perfectly safe and fun to drive LA freeways at 110mph. I did it on my bike all the time and I didn't have the comfort of seat belts, crumple zones and 10 airbags.

Go get them Vince, show them what MB drivers are made of. All you need is a little tuning and you can take on the big boys!

110 MPH is very safe if you drive carefully.

Just make sure you leave room for the error of OTHER drivers if you drive at that speed. There are always idiots on the highway that don't realize how fast you are approching them. Be prepared to stop when they cut in front of you going 50 MPH.

Good Kill,
I have killed a few 325s myself. not at 110 though.

On I-5 I did get up to 125 but it was late at nite and no cars at all.

Perhaps that's true. I've booped the coupe up over 100 briefly a couple times on an empty highway. It's between me and the deer/moose in that case. But the words "weaving through traffic at about 110" make me uncomfortable.

When I think of traffic, I envision my commute to and from work. Anyone that's driven in MA (Buellwinkle) will know what that's like...

In Atlanta on 285, all the traffic is going 110 and weaving in and out. All the time. Except at rush 4 hrs, then it is a giant parking lot.

damn, i didn't expect so many negative comments. LA at night is great for racing. Although i agree, there could have been less traffic on the road, it was nothing like rush hour. traffic was moving at about 80 with plenty of gaps. But then again how many of you guys out there have driven in LA at night. um 4-5 lanes is a whole lot of room. especially on sunday night at 12. maybe i shouldn't tell you guys what its like at 3 am. thats when you get to go 130.

hm...

I think everyone here in this forums is adult enought to know if their actions are right or wrong, and if they are dangerous or not...

By the way, I have killed a few bimmers too, I raced a 3.25 from a light, pretty close race I won by half a car, it was from 0 to 65 or 70 mph...

Another kill was last friday night in the highway killed another 3.25 from 70 mph to 115 mph...

dang dude...what freeway were you on?...i'm from LA too and there is always a lot of cars on the freeways doesn't matter what time it is. all i know is the 60fwy will clear up a little right before the exit for i-15 but it only opens up till the cars from i-15 merging on to 60fwy. for that little section i can ran up to 125 mph than i have to slow down for safety reason.

BTW that was for 60fwy heading east

BTW the speed ppl usually drive is 80-85 mph. ppl are crazy in LA
i drive around 85-90mph...depends on the traffic.

U guys are lucky. I never get to KILL bimmers. Only IS300's. Maybe one day, ill get my chance. Living in LA...there is plenty of room to race at night. I usually seem to be rev'd on on the 605 south. The 60 going west is pretty much unpopulated, but there's alot of CHP's crusin there. Im more worried about cops then other drivers. When i use to drive my Supra, i use to go up to 130 and upcoming cars would be right there within seconds. Though it is dangerous, Im pretty sure we are smart enough to know when enough is enough.

I've got to drop kudos to vince...

question though, E36 or E46 325...?

the E36 cars are pretty sprightly, I'd be surprised if you pulled one at that speed. either way, nice job and be careful, we'd hate to loose a member.

sure i'll be glad to kill some M3s old or new. IMO most ppl who bought the new M3s can't shift well. (it goes for M3s around the area i lives in)

i forgot to mention that during the day Rowland Heights is crowded on the street and the weekend is even worse. but it will start to clear up around 10 pm or so. beware of cops though

BTW i'm only around during the weekend. during the weekdays i'm at UCR studing my butt off
