Android Head Unit and Fiber Optics
Hello, my car is 2006 mercedes w203 coupe.
Recently i purchased a wondefoo android 9 head unit for mercedes w203 with “plug and play” fiber optic decoder.
Head unit works perfectly and steering wheel control work fine but no sound.
Fiber box has 4 wires:
Yellow. I connected to car bat wire
GND. I connected to car GND.
Can H. Don’t know where to connect but i tried to connect to can H in canbus box from head unit wire harness to see any difference but nothing.
Can L. Same story as can H.
And 2 RCA wires which i connected to RCA front out in head unit.
Fiber optic is plugged in decoder and loop is not broken. I removed cd changer and installed fiber loop before removing the old head unit and tested sound so i knew the loop was no problem.
I also tested yellow and black wire from decoder with multimeter for 12v and is ok so i think decoder is working but no sound, maybe amp is not turning but i don’t know how to fix it.
