try my brother buying a brand new 2001 3 series bmw back in '01, and 4 months later, the "SRS" light comes on, twice. once was a problem i believe they fixed, and the second time was a faulty sensor. i'd say that was a bit more serious.

My family's been driving MB for a long time even though this is my 1st one. We never had any problems with the ones that we pre-ordered from Europe(there aren't usually stock cars floating around in Hong Kong back then, and everyone has to sit and wait for a good 3 months). Well, as a measure to cut cost, MB moved their assembly plant to Brazil for some lower end C-models. I don't know if that could been a QC problem.
