How does the window attach to the window regulator....

MBZ: 2001, C240, W203 Body Designation, 4 door, sedan

Hello World,

How does the rear passenger side window attach to the window regulator without falling off....any photos?

The rear passenger side window seemed to have slipped off the bracket that holds it in place. The regulator seems to work but the window does not move up or down.

So how does the window attach to the regulator and stay there....videos would be appreciated...?

Thanks in advance

Shai

No photos or videos, but it quite simple. A small plastic "clip" with an expansion post is inserted through the bottom edge of the glass. Pull the door card/panel and you will see it. I have replaced 2 of them, they are available on Ebay. I'm sorry I forget the exact name of the part. I just searched for, I think, "window regulator clip"....

Update: bucked up and fised the issue...window moves up/down like a charm. Thanks

Dear Pacific Man,

I was calling mbz dealers and auto stores to find the following A. white plastic rectangular bracket (photo enclosed), but instead i was told by the dealer that I need to buy the following part number 2037200114, which is a black, round, rubber bracket (photo enclosed). So I just bought the the black round rubber bracket. I hope the Parts Employee at the dealer was right - do you think the rubber bracket could be used instead?

Photos below:

It may well work. When I did the front window I could not get the right part. I Frankensteined a bolt/nut/grommet combo into an expansion post and it still is working fine. It appears that you bought the factory version. When I did the rear window I Was able to get the part, white clip, and that worked as well.

The black rubber piece is the updated part.
