My HVAC Blower suddenly stopped working last week. I checked the fuses and they were OK. I scanned the system with an iCarsoft scanner and it appears the blower regulator went bad. I was able to obtain the blower assembly from a "part out" that I've used for other spares. That solved the problem. There is a good video on YouTube showing how to replace the fan if anyone else encounters this problem.

The replacement blower had a white fan. My original fan is black. The car I've been scavenging has a later build date than mine and I'm wondering whether Mercedes changed the supplier or made a minor change to the part. My fan had been chirping during start up in the winter, so I'm hoping this one will be quiet. I did take the precaution of lubricating the motor shaft of the replacement fan while it was out of the car.
