Engine oil 229.5 spec
C200 Kompressor M271 engine at 135k kilos
Good afternoon all, i have always used 229.5 engine oil purchased from the dealer over the counter.
My Mechanic suggested i change oil to fully synthetic Petronas Syntium 3000E or 5000E, API SN spec.
Oil seems to be approved by Mercedes-Benz 229.5.

If it has the correct approval number then it's fine. Dealerships mostly sell 3rd party oil anyways.
