woops haha

I am giving back my car to my lease since it has expired what should you guys think i should do with my rims since my old stock 16" rims wore out and i have since replaced the tires and stock rims for brabus 18" rims with tires.

My tires are still hardly worn and i don't wanna give them my rims so should i just buy the regular tires from mercedes put them on my stock rims and then give em back to the dealer? will it be cheaper?

dude, just buy some cheapo tires for the oem rims and put'em back. Sell your Brabus rims seperately or keep'em if u plan to get another MB.

...and hopefully he still has the original rims, and they're not in bad shape. The dealer could have a field day if they're banged up.

i have the original rims though one is a lil banged up

if i buy used tires do they have to be the same brand name as the ones i originally got? if thats the case it would be easy too replace and very cheap!

still deciding what car to get next....i like the CLS though it seems a lil over budget...the new SLK55 too impratical...the CLK i dun like the coupe look and i i have a pet peeeve for soft tops...C55 jus about right though the new model change is coming up so im hesitant plus the car pretty much looks like my C240..saw the new C6 conv in person i didnt like it...

honestly for me to drop like 80 G canadian i wanna be in love with a car but lately i have seen nothing which gave me love at first sight...back years ago i fell in love with the C class but damn so many now plus the HP suked on mine i got bored pretty quick..

it doesn't have to be the original tires. any tire will do.

the CLS is IMO, but my opinion might change as time goes. who knows.

wait a little longer if you looking for new ride. The new 3-series is coming and from the spy photos it doesn't look too bad.

I think the new C55 is a waste of money and weight (no supercharger). I'd recommend a new '04 C32 AMG over a C55. Also, have you looked at an E500 or E55 AMG ('04 or '05)? Those still have the practicality of a sedan while having good power and road presence.

as far as weight of the engine, I think AMG stated the 5.4 V8 is about the same weight as the 3.2 s/c V6 and the total car weights less than the C32 I believe. like you said, I don't think the C55 is worth it over the C32, but if you don't have a C32 then C55 is a great choice.

very true. i dont think it cost that much to have the rims touched up. i think like $65 to $100 per rim. now depending on condition and the lease terturn inspection, he could find out whether it would be cost effective to pay to have them fixed by an outside source or have the dealership take care of it. only leased one car in my life, and i found a pvt party to buy it so ive never experienced a lease inspection first hand. just from what ive been told.

ima lil nervous bout the lease inspection crap...

actually im seriously considering getting a used G35 coupe and keeping it until i find somthing i like alot.

Slam some 19" HRE on the g35 and i think it could look real nice.

Any one got pics of a souped up g35?
Any idea how much HRE is gonna cost me?

Find a used tire dealer. You only need 3mm of tread left on any brand of tire to return it on a lease.

As for rim damage, if its less than the size of a credit card, it'll pass.
