Springs that pop up the hood to open it are missing. Can't find P/N
The two springs located at either side of the front of the hood are now missing.These are the ones that when you pull the hood release lever it pops the hood a couple of inches and also pops out the pull handle at the grill to open the hood. First one disappeared now the second one is also gone. Hence, I have to have someone pull the hood release cable inside the car while I lift the hood the 2-3 inches to have the actual release handle pop out from in-between the hood grill slats.
I've been trying to find the part number but I can't seem to come up with the right search criteria to do so. The car is a 2004 C240 V-6 Luxury Sedan. Can someone please help me out?
BTW: This seems to a problem with MB. My wife's 2012 C250 had the exact same problem but I easily found the part number.
