My own car... had a 318i before (this was a very nice upgrade)
Everyone says black is too mean for girls. Who said girls can't have style?? hehe

Thanks for the thumbsup!
I like the sophisticated euro look... the coupe is sporty enough by itself.

Ada, do you know how much those suckers weigh? They look really nice.

Did they have a staggered setup as well?

Glad to see some new women on the forum. Hey, women were supposed to be the target market audience for the ccoupe anyway.

What do you mean by window visors? Something like those ones sold by Weathertech? Haven't seen any on any ccoupes yet. Since you're new, I won't even give my opinion on them.

Haha,
Actually I'm not new.. my bf has been posting for me mostly.

They came in shipped @ 46lbs with tires (45lbs on the C7 wheels) so it's not that bad. I kept the width the same
Not staggered, my bf suggested 255/35/18 matched with 18x9.5 in the rear though... decided there was no point.
I am kind of disappointed in the size of the wheel. Didn't know MB's wheel wells were SO big. Need to lower. But it's costing about $900CDN to lower... which I find kind of expensive to mess up my camber hehe.

Yeah for some reason I think the Weathertech wind deflectors or windows visors (no idea what to call them) would look good... Not too expensive of a mod (if you can even call it one)
Does MB has OEM visors??

Thanks for the warm welcome

girls spend tons of $$ modding the cars? quite unusual.

most girls i know rather spend $$ on cosmetics and clothes

damn, skip the spoilers and visors, get the real thing - kleemann pulley upgrade and smoke the preludes and rsx-s (tons of those in BC)

Girls have changed man!
So many girls with modded cars in Richmond BC now

Anyhow I try to keep a balance of shopping and automotive style (hahah)

Performance upgrades are getting bad in Richmond... Every car with any performance enhancing modification is due to a ticket+pay for a vehicle inspection to see if everything is safe (Cops are trying to attack young drivers)

Anyhow the worst part is the stupid YELLOW vehicle inspection sticker you have to keep on your window... oh the horror! haha

Okay after all the confusion
it's just PURE black (non metallic) with Charcoal leather
I ordered Mid FEB, and got it early March... if I wanted white, it would have taken 4 months.. ouch
I find MB Broadway to be WAY more courteous anyhow so I took the car

I bought the paint at Lordco, and my bf picked just a OPAL BLACK generic auto paint. The clear coat isn't very necessary.

Just do it slowly with a few coats.

The wheels remind me of Carlsson 1/16 but in Brilliant Edition because the lip looks kinda chrome to me (I know they dont exist, they just have 1/16 Ultralight and Diamond Edition).
Anyways, these wheels look way better than the C7 wheels except they still look a bit small to me (perhaps the gap between the fender and the tire is too big). Yeah, lower it by 1.2-1.5" and yr car will look perfect! By the way, where did you get the wheels from?

The car handles fine, in fact it feels a bit more agile than the C7 wheels. I kept the same width so surface contact shouldn't have changed much.

The Kumho's are very quiet though which I like, and according to many people on tirerack.com, very good performance wet & dry. (A must for BC weather)

I purchased the wheels through Tirerack.com, the ony place I know that carries AT italia

nice rims girl

is that the AT italia Alp?

actually i'm looking for a different style AMG wheels or just simply bigger wheels for my C32 but i have no idea which would go with the C32 bodykit. i already rule out Brabus, Carlsson, and Lorinser because i think it would be weird to have a C32 AMG with those three brand of wheels.

any ideas? i kinda like the superleggera from OZ what do you think?

oh yeah another question is are the AT italia wheel made by BBS?

I saw you and your car todayin Imperial, but it was driven by a guy, was that your boyfriend?

You didn't see me with my Coupe becasue I was driving my E46 325i today.

Personally, I think the wheels didn't suit the car very well, becasue it have too many spokes. But I think the 18' did give the car a more aggressive look. Just my $0.02.

FrankW: Yes they are the AT Italia ALP, Tirerack always feature these wheels in their magazine ads, and I"ve always liked the way the multispoke looked, very sophisticated.

I agree that you shouldn't go with brabus, carlsson, lorinser for wheels on a C32. The super legerra is a very sexy wheel, although bit japanese. You might want to try the Superleggera III, which adds a Lip, same spoke design, with studs!!! Would loook very nice.

AT Italia? No idea who they're made by... honestly as long as they aren't Made in Taiwan and aren't over 30lbs, I could care less hahaha

eason: yeah.. my boyfriend
I guess we have different tastes in wheels, I think the 5 spoke is way played out... (I'm probably pissing off ALOT of people here.. ) I thought the multispoke might make the wheels look bigger, but I really do need the car lowered for that effect.

Any suggestions for wheels on the Coupe? My 2nd choice was the AT Italia Flash Sport, same thing, but more of a Mugen look with half the amount of spokes.. I agree it would have looked REALLY nice, but I did'n't want "sporty". I wanted "elegant" or atleast tried. There's also the Konig Imagines in opal black, very very nice dark look, but the bolt pattern was not compatible with the C230k...

As you can see my budget for wheels weren't that high, buying Loriser, Carlsson, Brabus was way out of question, + pretty much all of AMG's wheels looked butt ugly on the coupe ( based on tirerack.com's wheel selector)

I'm very glad though that Carlsson 1/16's which I think look very much like my wheels (or the other way around.. hehe, but since I bought them before I found out... I'll lie to myself a little)
