Sticking calipers
After a test run the offside caliper stuck so I freed that off.
Another test run and the nearside caliper stuck again.
It seems that as I fix one side the problem moves to the other.
I only did a quick job of freeing a lubricating the pistons but both looked in good condition. The pistons looked clean, the boots were in tact and the sliders free.
The pads and discs are almost new.
I had it in mind to replace the pistons or even the whole calipers but, with the problem seeming to alternate between sides, I wonder if the is more to this that just the calipers.

No reason why this should switch from side to side..
Are your pads so worn that the piston is at its maximum pushed out position? Perhaps it is getting stuck this way.

my rotor is an ATE and rather than screwing around to rebuild it i am just biting the bullet and getting a new OE caliper which is around 100 bucks...
were you able to rebuild your's???
