Hello new here and new to forms

Hello I’m Josh recently bought a 2003 c320 for a great price some of the electrical things are a little finicky but I can get past that because it’s stuff I don’t really care for but there is one thing that I can’t figure out what it is? Can anybody tell me what it is and if I can remove it?

I’ve never seen that on an 03 c230. My best guess it either controlled an aftermarket airbag suspension, which owner probably removed before selling. I’m assuming you already ruled out seat control and windows. Is there any aftermarket wiring near battery area? Can you follow the wiring? Is there anything other aftermarket modifications?

Welcome I have never seen anything like that more than likely aftermarket. Can you call who you bought the car from and ask?

Is there anything in the trunk hitting the trunk c shaped bracket? You might have to realign the latch on the bumper. Make sure all the plastic trim isn’t loose either. Mine has the same problem even though there was no damage. Weird

What happens when you engage the switches? Was the car ever owned my Mi6? Is so, be careful when you engage the switches.

One switch controls the sunroof, one ejects the passenger seat through the sunroof, and the last 2 switches are for the missiles behind the headlights.

I wish haha but I took the top off and there’s 4 different air lines under it so I’m assuming it had air suspension that probably failed at some point and was converted to regular coil springs

That's the control unit for the multi contour seat. It pumps air to specific zones of the seat(lumbar etc). The pump is usually in the trunk, near the fuse panel.
I have multi contour seats both left and right on my 06 w203 (Europe version).
