Piece missing from injector...Replace?

Hi guys, I decided to clean the fuel injectors in my 2005 c240 and noticed that 5 of the 6 injectors have the plastic ring beneath the o-ring on port-hole end broken off.
The car has been running just fine though. I'm wondering if I should replace them with new ones or if the broken piece is not detrimental. Thanks!!

There are several ways to look at it...

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This works well for those whose technical knowledge and/or abilities are limited, and could have saved me a buncha money at one time or another. But I learned...

If the injectors are leaking (you don't say and should most definitely check!) you may or may not notice a loss in power, missing, or gas smell under the hood. If any of these are occurring you probably better fix the leaks yesterday. I've see several car fires and once started, they go up quickly.

There may be a minor intake leak, which could lean the mixture in one or more cylinders. This is tolerable if .... (you fill in the rest).
