Great feedback, keep it coming. I wasn't doing it to make a statement so much as to use the two holes I've already got.
I like the way Lockbuster's sits lower, even with the lines of the fenders, it looks better like that. Too bad my holes aren't lower.
Margo- I'm usually in Phoenix, but I'm spending some time down in Tucson for the next month or so. I always read about the east coast and California owner's meetings, we should get one going for us desert folk!

who dog,
You need to fill the holes and put on the Mercedes Benz factory plate holder. Trust me it will be worth it and it will look cool....

Don't listen to Sourpuss...
Keep the plate but do as some others suggested and install the proper EU plate holder - the car will look a lot better for it. The present plate is ungainly in its position. I'd also suggest MB as the first two letters, but it's too late for that, eh?
....OR....
Get a genuine German plate as used on US/CDN factory delivered vehicles and install it. These ones are shorter than a normal European plate, because the rear plates have to fit in the North America-only smaller license plate holder on the **** end of the car.
Hey, it's a little bit flaky since you did not actually do EU delivery, but at least you don't call your car a cabriolet
It beats putting plugs in the bumper holes though.

I custom ordered mine off of ebay. They're all over the place over there.
I chose AZ as the first two letters to kind of stick with the European motif of having the location be the first letter combo. It ain't easy being cheesy.

Now tell me again why you want a bigger target for laser speed guns?
Hmmm... I myself want the smallest front profile possible. No reflective surfaces.
All this aside from the ghetto factor of having a plate from another country on your car?! (but that is a personal choice and I can respect someone's wishes in that regard)

I did a quick review of the statutes and didn't find anything to this effect.

Merriam-Webster says:
One entry found for off of.
Main Entry: off of
Function: preposition
Date: 1592
: OFF
usage: The of is often criticized as superfluous, a comment that is irrelevant because off of is an idiom. It is much more common in speech than in edited writing and is more common in American English than in British.

Look under Euro plates in E-bay and you will find them in Germany. Look for the one's without holes. The euro plates came without any holes. The Euro plates have a holder that fits the plate into place. Need more info let me know and I will try to help.

Out Of Control!!
The poll looks about even!
I say keep it if you like it. I think the Euro plates look nice! It sure is an eye catcher. I also like the way you put "AZ" first to identify the state. In germany, the first 1-3 letters are used to identify an area/city. When I lived over there my plate began with "F" for Frankfurt. Before that it had "FB" for Friedberg.
I would suggest as others have of getting a better plate holder, and trying to position it lower. It just doesn't look right that high up.

This plate is a little narrower and give a slightly different look than the standard ones - (its a Euro temporary plate that we were required to have while in Europe). Either way I would definately keep some kind of Euro plate on the front.

Are you planning to put it on the front of the car? The top one looks better. But let me tell ya-them fix it tickets start adding up. It is not really the price, but more like the time you waste by having the plate "corrected". Btw nice wheels.
