C320 - Sport
Question OEM cross drilled rotors for 01 C320 sport?

I have a 2001 C320 sport sedan and need to do the front brakes. I lost track of the brake changes for the sport option from 01 to 05. In 01 it was a vented disk, in 04 it was cross drilled and vented but with different calipers. I want to find the best mercedes (stock) rotors that will fit my car without swapping the calipers.

I did some searching on the forum and it seems that the new 04 rotors may be larger and require the newer calipers, is that correct? Does anyone know if any of the other years (03 sport?) have cross drilled rotors with the original calipers?

01-03 has the same rotor for the sports model I believe. Or does 03 has bigger rotor? someone can correct me on that, but I believe 01-03 use the same caliper.

04.5 however, has different rotor and caliper. you can't change the rotor to the 04.5-05 without changing the caliper. If you do that might as well go for the C32/C55 AMG brakes. Most who got'em say it's cheaper than the 04.5-05 brakes, yet it's better.

Okay, Ive been looking for a thread with the details between 2001 c320 sports brakes and non sports brakes. I want to say they arent the same, but I need new front pads asap (my brake sensor went off) and needa know soon.... Does anyone know the difference? formymercedes doesnt seem to show a different between sports and non sports brakes for their selection of porterfield pads.

Thanks,
