Om646 - is this normal?

Just a quick question, some advice wanted

So I've had a c200 CDI (2006) for a year now, however it has been in the family since 2012.

Ever since I can remember however, it's been extremely loud, most noticibly, there's a tapping/clicking noise coming from what appears to be the rear of the engine (4th cylinder). I've ran numerous bottles of injector cleaner through the system over the course of a year, to no avail. The engine is very clean, no smoke whatsoever, even under a lot of load.

ive also checked the front belt, yes the tensioner is a bit wobbly, but I can easily distinguish that noise from the tapping that's really loud.

The tapping noise occurs regardless of engine temp, however it is a bit louder when cold.

Any ideas as to what this could be?
