I am dropping my car off tomorrow to get my xenon light fixed (dead after 1 week of ownership). I requested a loaner and they said there will be one there for me. what should i expect for a loaner? older model MB, newer model MB, s55 AMG, or a hyndai from next door?

LOL............. You will get a decent car. Maybe a C240 or full size Rental type car. You can always complain about the car. What dealership is it going to?

depends on your dealer. ive had a 2000 C280, C240 wagon, C320 coupe, ML350, C240 sedan and 04.5 C230SS.

whatever you get expect a big loaner sticker. i always ask for something different eachtime.

I had dropped my Benz off one afternoon for some minor adjustments and they had used up all ther loaner cars so they pulled one of the demos off the lot. A S430!!!
I had the loaner for 2 day. I didnt want to return it but i had no choice.

To add to what has been said, I'd ask the loaner rep what is available. Most dealers have a cache of loaner cars, usually in the C and M class. They will stick you randomly with a car, but sometimes you can ask what your choices are. I've gotten to drive a new ML350 that way instead of an older 240.

thank god the mb loaners that i get dont have those huge corny stickers on them that say "LOANER". i do see those stickers on alot of lexus loaners from bay ridge lexus in brooklyn.

the big loaner sticker makes ya look like a fool...but then again the 3X3 "R" sticker they use up here is just as bad also....but it does keep the ppl from work talkin about how ur getting a new mb every 6-12months

The C240 that I drove had a big a$$ for sale sticker on it. Looks like they just pulled one from the lot and it only had couple hundred miles on the car.

Penske loaners sometimes will not have the sticker in the back. They always have the personalized plate that says PMB XXX, whatever loaner car number your driving.

where do you guys get different loaners? all I ever get is the C240 from House of Imports. next time i'm gonna ask if they can give me one of loaner BMW for shellyBMW next door, since they are all enterprice rentals.

Penske and Hoehn are the two places I've received loaner cars.

Penske's out of the question for me. I hate them. Went there before and never could get a straight answer from any sales, parts, service, you name it.

I've only been to Penske West Covina 2x, and once to Penske Claremont. I prefer Claremont's advisors and its much closer to where i live. I havent had any problems so far. I really liked the Service at Hoehn when I lived in San Diego.

when i first went for service at MBSD i got a honda civic and the service sucked @$$. the didnt even put my center console back together after replacing the shift knob. that and the crappy loaner i never went back for service, just the free washes. i drove 30 miles to Hoehn for great service advisors, loaners and service in general. that was when i lived in SD.
