I'd love to have real-time traffic info broadcast to my euro-nav system to do dynamic routing!!

I did some research on the net, and it looks like some cities have looked at it, but couldn't find anyone in US broadcast traffic over RDS/TMC.

Too much to ask - RDS in the US is not at all popular. US-spec receivers do not even have this functionality. Although I did notice that during the past year a lot of stations in the D.C. area have implemented RDS messaging and this list keeps growing. So - who knows. But, still - this technology has been in use in Europe (not sure about other parts of the world) since early 90's..

RDS is slowly growing IMO. when i lived in San Diego with my Audio10 there was only two stations i knew of with RDS and one was KPBS. LA had tons of RDS equiped stations. Now San Diego has many RDS stations as well.

it would be nice to see active TMC implemented though.

I think last summer in Chicago many stations started activating RDS. I think every station I have programmed in my memory now is using RDS.

Hey we can hope can't we?

I know you can retrofit a TMC box on a S class. Not sure about the C class.
