Have the dealer wash my car... no way!

I picked up my 11 day old car today from the dealer (see my other posts if you care why it was there)... from reading some of the forums... and since my car is black... i requested for them not to wash my car... when i got there my car was just being finished up in the bay area, so i was walking around. I went to the back where they have a 2 bay station and 3 kids cleaning all the cars. they had 3 big buckets full of dirty water... and were using one of those small broomstick looking washers to clean the car, and the towels they were using to dry the car were probably once white... but looked pretty brown/black to me...

I would never let the swirlmark boys touch my black paint.

i dont blame you, then again because of the high maintenace and low visual return i had from a black car, ill never own one again.

You should be the only one that washes your car-especially if it's black!

I agree completely - don't let the dealer wash it. The dealer was the only place we ever had our last MB washed, and when we traded it 3 years after buying it, its paint was an absolute mess. Scratches, swirls, you name it. The new one has the magic (well, maybe) nanotech paint, but we're not taking chances. I'll wash it myself, or take it to a spray-only car wash.
