Speaker Distortion
I have a right-hand drive 2004 C280 with an aftermarket stereo system.

The drivers side (right) speaker is OK but all the others produce heavily distorted sound. I have changed over the right and left outputs from the stereo but the left is still distorted so its not the unit.

I have checked the wiring and it looks OK so, before I start changing speakers, does any body have an idea of what else it may be.

Check the impedence specifications on the radio. Aftermarket is the first clue.
