Flashing screens and no power. Then no starting at all
Hopefully the video show up. About 2 weeks ago, my 2003 c230 coupe would not crank over, and I mean nothing. On top of that, it would not even shift our of park. Earlier that day I saw a "Brake Pad Wear Visit Workshop" message coupled with a "Display Defective". Left the car in driveway over night and the next day it started right up. Upon doing some research, I found that the error is sometimes caused by a faulty Brake Pad Wear Sensor. Order the part yesterday and awaiting its arrival.
Now to last night. Driving to pick up dinner and at a light its starts flashing these error messages again. Then my ABS light comes on and I lose almost all power. It was everything I could do just to get up to 35 MPH. I limp it into the parking lot of my take out dinner place. Upon back out, the car is back to doing it again. Everything lights up but the car is dead silent on trying to turn over and I cannot get the car out of park. Called the local MB dealer and they had the sensor for $15 and I replaced it but nothing changed.
To get it out of the guys restaurant parking lot (he was very cool to let me have a spot overnight), its being towed to a local MB/Volvo/Saab specialist place to see what happening. Anything knowledge on what I can expect would be great.
