window feature?

A wierd thing happened today.
This noon I went to Mcdonales drive through for lunch. After I picked up my stuff, I rolled my window back up, but it stuck in the middle and rolled down a little bit itself. I tried couple of times, but it still didi the same thing. Is it some kind of window feature that I don't know?

Sounds like a problem. Take it to the dealer.

I'm pretty sure the windows have "pinch protection" when rolled up in one-touch mode. If something in the window is binding, it might "think" something is caught in the window so it rolls down. If you roll it up by holding the switch, it will probably be fine. Like viper said, have it checked out.

I've been told by the shop foreman, that the windows may need resynchronization so they can close properly. I.e. they should learn what are the proper opened and closed positions, so if something is in the way during closing they can stop and/or back down.

If that is Richard's problem, the synchronization instructions are in the owner's manual. If I remember correctly, you simply roll the window down, then hold the button in the up position until it closes and than a few more seconds. It's something like that, but just check the book.

I've had this problem and it works just fine after you sync it... close your window holding the button and then hold the button in the close (up position) for about 3 seconds. This re-syncs it and it should work fine after that...

i seem to have to do it every coupla months..

This seems to happen with all cars with the anti pinch feature - you may want to blow some air down the door to remove any little fuzzy thingies or large lint that may be stuck down there. But the other's advice should reset the computer and work fine afterwards.

I have yet to have any window problems..but one thing I do check every once in awhile is the feature that:
1. When you hold the open button down (do not just push and release to unlock the door - need to keep button held down), all four windows (sedan) will go down.
2. Hole lock button down, all four windows go up.
That's one thing I do to make sure windows and key are working properly.
That is one feature that the dealer did not tell me about - just happen to hold the open button down and then all the windows started to roll down.

why you traded in your RSX-S for an automatic C230K?

This will also work on the sunroof. However, I believe it works with an infrared signal, and not the radio signal as the lock and unlock work. You have to be standing close to the car for it to work (in some cases, you have to point your key fob right at the door handle).

Also, I believe holding down the remote buttons to open and close the windows/roof doesn't prove the operation of the one-touch function, where the synchronization problem seems to crop up. You have to check that with the individual window switches, or the "all close" function via the recirculate button (discussed before).
