They’re not for facelift, but, I got them to work.

What car are those from?
Is there a lot of work involved in getting them to work?

 

They’re listed pre-facelift, or launch.

They chose to mold the mount tabs in the lens, in acrylic (not even polycarbonate), and I broke one...(I made a new tab from a “donor” OEM assembly)

I just used a Dremel on this project.

1.) Dremel down the front flat tab area. So the led assembly will fit into the mirror housing as flush as possible.

2.) Remove about .08 from the OEM mirror boss. The front corner (round part) doesn’t fit flush otherwise.

3.)Mark and then open up the mounting tab holes as they are now misaligned.

4.) I placed a rubber o ring between boss and lens.

5.) Install led assembly, I used a stainless flat washer and lock washer to make up for the now larger hole in mounting tab.

6,) Install, getting the wiring in is a tad tricky, but, not bad.

What I did, and you don’t need to:

A.) Installed a vent per OEM
B.) Installed a drain per OEM
C.) There is no foam seal, and no room to apply one like OEM, so I used some dum dum putty.

I agree that the smoked mirror turn signals look good on a black car! :-)

I did a quick check. I only see smoked lenses for the dynamic turn signals for a W203.
Too bad they don't make them in reflective red. That would go nice with my red coupe.
