I've seen some spinners on S class that looked great. I think spinners should go fine on larger cars since the rims are usually huge. C class? Probly overkill.
There are too many spinners and I think it's a fad that's getting old. I think polished (not chrome) is the look of the next few years. Subtle and classy.

You and Mr. HITMAN were "correct" on your statements... that is depending on the point of view (circumstantial data).
At a stand still, nothing moving (not spinning) the car will be actually be slower due to the fact of the additional weight (centrifugal forces and other lingo as well ). Depending on the design, configuration and type (only certain type), at certain speed; when the spiners are actually "spinning", there should be enough enegry to possibly produce about 10hp on a 23' wheel... (my math failed me there.. I think I messed it up and the diameter is 20' for a max of 10hp gain at 80mph... one of you that has his phisics formulas more a tune re-verify (motion WITH gravity... if you use the standard formula which is set up in vacum, you end up with way more power)
Cheers!

The problem with the standard formula in this case is that it fails to consider the fact that at a stop light(standing) the spinners must all keep spinning thus building up energy which would be translated into horsepower at take off. That is where the extra 40 hp is achieved on this all wheel drive
