Eh-hem!
MR. Anaheim_Drew:
For the record... ( ) I had tried to warn you! (about your car looks with wheels vs suspenssion, look and heights... etc... )
Like Mr. CitronC230K_03 said, now, you gotta get the wheels man!... the largest you can fit are 19s, then go with 19s! (18s are easier headache to deal with on rubbing, tire brands, etc)
Cheers!

My concern with 19's is tire cost, and poor ride quality. I see lots of post from those with 19's wishing the had 18's.......

Does size matter?
Mr. Anaheim_Drew:
I would say, that is always on the eyes of the beholder... ... The "poor ride quality" I would say, you don't have your "cushy" ride if you will... the response is much stiffer.
The most important thing is that you find what you like the best in diameter, looks, etc and then just go for it
Cheers!

Wife just came in and saw Mr.Wiedermanns above post... She said "Back to new wheels again...........? If you are going to get them, get them because I am tired of you complaining"
My first thought was "yes" but......... besides my happiness what is the ultimate cost I will pay?
I think September is my wheel tire month............

I drooled a bit on it, so I hope you don't mind ! Can't wait to see it on your car !
Seriously, it's gonna look awesome ! One of the techs told me that perhaps only using your exhaust tips might work better on my set-up. I just got the RENNTECH ECU Software Upgrade today, and now it's TORQUE galore !!! Love it !!! and it still has a 2 week breaking-in period, so it's only going to get better. So for the exhaust, the shop is recommending, I remove the resonator and go with a straight pipe to muffler and your AMG dual-oval tips. Friday is completely booked for them , so it's gonna have to wait til Tuesday. I'll be there. Let me know if you need a place to crash (before or after).

With the shop suggestion, are you using Wiedermanns muffler of just the tips? I know you said his dual -oval tips but don't you have a single exhaust tip? If so then would the dual tips just be welded?

But for now, just VERY QUIETLY get your 18" wheels (I don't recommend 19" wheels / too many horror stories), install them, enjoy them, and don't make too much noise about it. Until it all comes crashing down on you... but remember this: the new wheels make the ride more comfortable for the baby, so it gently rocks to sleep on those cranky colicky nights.

Note: My ultimate goal is purely aesthetic. I just want dual-oval chrome AMG tips. And yes, my stock C320 tips are just a single oval chrome tip.
Anyway, since Mr. Wiedermann was going to remove his C32 exhaust, I initially offered to buy his muffler & tips.
The shop where the work is being done, is not sure, as am I, if the C32 muffler is identical to the C320 muffler ? According to the drawings, it looks the same, and has the same part numbers. The holding brackets may be in different places depending on the sedan vs. coupe undercarriage set-up.
But if the muffler is the same, then I really don't have need for the muffler.
If it's different, then the issue of bogging down my HP comes into play. Which I don't technically know enough about to make a correct decision.
Bottom line is that I want dual-oval AMG chrome tips, and since these are not sold separately via MB or AMG my only recourse is to buy them off a C32 exhaust, remove the tips, and weld them on to my muffler.
Additionally, to improve HP based on my new ECU upgrade, it is suggested that I remove the resonator and just throw a straight pipe to my muffler, with the C32 dual-oval AMG chrome tips just for looks !

Now, if I could get 2 sets of dual-oval AMG chrome tips, I could do some cosmetic surgery on my rear bumper and make it "look like" a quad exhaust. But that's not very C32 AMG COUPEish (based on the European model), and for some reason, my wife said she prefers the one side dual-oval AMG chrome tips, than twin set up. Go figure !

The only AMG tips that are sold separately come from the SLK32 (single oval) or SLK55 (dual oval), I can't remember which right now, but are hella expensive. ($300 each).

The new 2005 single oval tip is very nice. It's a bit longer that the single oval tip that I currently have on my '03. My wife's '04 C320SS that she just got yesterday, has the longer single oval tip, (I think it's the same as the 2005).
Would like an AMG twin dual-oval tip look on my car, although realistically, the C32 AMG Euro COUPE only has the dual-oval tips on one side.

I guess I get lost because I don't see what is so different about the AMG tips that a muffler shop does not have something similar
