and the car i am looking at is eing sold as NEW with 600 miles on it, b/c i twas returned by first owner...
any advice?

so the dealer has this car i am looking @ 2004 c230K with 600 miles on it... he said its being sold as USED, however, it is considered NEW for financing and any other offers... do you think they will honor the coupon in that case?
i will be financing thru mb.

thats what i am hoping... NOW, another issue someone has a coupon to give to me, but THEIR name is on it... what will THAt do for me? can i erase it and use it?

if their name is on it its more than likely a love mercedes tour coupon and cant be used. they are non-transferrable unless you are family members in the same household.
worst case you can buy the c-spot coupon off ebay for $300. thats still saving you $1200.

the C-spot coupon has a picture of a c-class going thru a slalom coruse.
the LMT has pictures of different MB models and says "Sometimes a word (Love) is worth $1500."

ok, so he said the front says, go buy some love or something, so i am thinking its an LMT one...
his name i son the front, if i can get MY name on there is it possible to use? is there some records id number or somethinG?

the control number i believe is tracked with your name. not sure how in detail they may go.
all i can say is if i were you i wouldnt buy this coupon from anyone. good luck scratching the name out and writting your in.

if its the love mercedes tour coupon then don't buy it. It will be nearly impossible for you to erase the name and rewrite your own in cleanly. I am looking at mine right now and right under my name is says
So clearly they will be looking closely for frauds. I think they caught on after people started selling their C spot coupons on ebay which is why they added the name. Good luck with the purchase.
Dealer: Contact your respective Business center funding manager if name on deal does not match name above.

well that just stinks, i guess if i snooze i loose... just got a reply from someone who has a C-SPOT without their name on it... just dont know if the dealer will even accept it... i cannot ASK b/c then i know they will fuss with the price... anyone have any ideas?
again, the car is 04 "used" b/c it was returned by someone with 600 miles on it, but the deal is considering it NEW for financing and offers (so he says)

The "Love My Mercedes Tour" Coupons do have a name on them, and for those of you who got one, if you paid attention to when they handed it to you, they also wrote your name down in a spreadsheet with the associated number of the coupon next to it. I asked what that was for, and they bluntly said, so that it does not get sold on eBay ! It is transferable only to family members, but you have to be able to prove relationship to the person whose name is now in some MB USA database in the sky. Beware of eBayers selling "Love my Mercedes Tour" Coupons, telling you that the name is blank, and that it is transferable. It is NOT !! Also, beware of C-Spot fakes out there too !!!
