Stabilizer Link M10 vs M12

Hi all,

Quick question.

What is the difference between these two? M10 vs M12? How do I know which one should I order?
VIN = WDB2030356A362862

Thanks

Tharanga

The VIN isn't loading. Can you double check?

On a C180 it's probably the M10 one. For that era only the AMG models (ie C32) are M12. The AMG bars are thicker as well. The bars fit the car the same way, but the size (M10/12) refers to the diameter of the hole at the end, which attaches the bar to the end links. To fit the thicker M12 bar, either add a spacer (to reduce the hole diameter from 12mm to 10mm), or change to thicker end links, which requires drilling out the attachment point at the strut from 10mm to 12mm.

The car stays much flatter through turns with a thicker bar. However you'll want to increase the rear bar thickness as well (there is also an AMG version of the rear bar, but this one fits directly without modification). Thickening the front bar increases understeer which this car already has a lot of. Thickening the rear bar reduces understeer and increases oversteer.

You can always drill out the mount holes from M10 to M12. All sport package cars got M12 endlinks. Even the slow ones.
