C230K Coupe passenger mirror

Hi all. I had an accident with my house and knocked off the left passenger-side mirror on my 2002 C230K coupe. Anyone know where to get replacement mirrors other than the dealership? The mirror is still attached and the electronics still work. Basically I just need the plastic housing and the turn signal lens. I don't want to get gouged by the dealership because it should be easy to install.

Thanks!

Steve, as mentioned above, -or- you may want to try your dealer's parts department (or any MB dealer's, for that matter). Worth a try. While at it, upgrade your mirror blinkers to the new, LED-based ones.

I'd just buy the housing the blinker from the stealer and then DIY... I bought the '05 blinker for ~$35 each. The price for the housing shouldn't be too expensive.

thanks for the ideas

Agreed Saprissa...it was pretty funny. Thing is, I knew it'd happen someday if I stopped paying attention. I have a terribly narrow driveway--about 6" on either side of the car. My house was built in the 20s. There was a big dog in the drive, so I decided I'd hit the house instead of the stray. Oh well...

Thanks for all the ideas. I emailed Steve and am awaiting a reply with the price. I called the dealership and the turn signal is $30 and the housing $214. Not too bad considering it is painted and will be here Monday. They said they've had 3 orders this week for the same mirror. I guess I'm not the only fool!!!

You live in Texas and broke off the "left passenger side" mirror??

Is this a right-hand drive car?

i think he meant it's on the left side (passenger side) if you're standing directly in front of the car, not when you're seating behind the wheel

In the USA, the left or right side of a car is ALWAYS determined from the drivers standpoint as they are sitting behind the steering wheel.
