Aftermarket Head Unit Install Issues
This is my first post so forgive me on any formatting or other issues.
I am trying to install an aftermarket head unit into my 2003 C240 sedan. When I removed my factory head unit I set all of the cables aside and went to purchase a wiring harness adapter for my vehicle.
I have the new wiring harness adapter but I can’t find the factory speaker wire harness to plug into it. I have pulled out almost everything in my dash looking for it but it’s nowhere in sight. In the picture, the empty slot is the one I am searching for but I cannot find it anywhere.

There is most definitely a connector for the empty spot. I always thought it was taped together (as in bundled together maybe 10cm away at most) to one of the 2 adjacent connectors in the photo. I assume you've lifted and removed all those foam pieces back there.
Where are you located? (yes this matters)
If you can't find it and are not the original owner, unfortunately I'd start looking for cut wires.

You could try to run them in series to give you 4 ohms with your HU or separate amp.
