Door Auto Lock/Unlock Information request
My car is W203 C180 2006 model.
When doors are locked from control panel, pulling any of the door opening levers from inside of the car, on any of the doors, results in unlocking of that door.
Is it a by-design feature or it some problem with my car?
I mean, isn't it supposed to keep the doors locked unless the driver unlocks the doors? That's how it used to work on my old Honda and that's why I am confused.
For the safety of my children I am using child lock but it would be handy to just use the auto locking feature if possbile.
Thanks.

I know what you mean with the old school car doors staying locked despite pulling on the handle. Pretty sure they got rid of it for safety reasons.

So the window disable switch for the rear passengers can be a life saver

MBs do have the high current auto open feature on the windows but I've noticed that the force required to trigger it is rather high. Of course the tradeoff is to have windows that trigger too often, which would lead to customer complaints.
