Differential Interchangeability for 07 C230 6MT
Hi all,
As my W203 build has snowballed, it's becoming increasingly more pertinent for this thing to have an LSD. The obvious answer is to source an AMG diff and a Quaife or something of the sort, but those are pricey and the change in final drive will likely make my M272 even slower.
Racingdiffs has a progressive locker that's a couple hundred bucks, made for a late-90s to early 2000s SLK230. It's a 3.27 ratio diff, so it wouldn't bog me down too much, and it's also the cheapest option.
From what I can tell, it SHOULD fit? The diff in the SLK seems to be the same as used in the C230k, and the C230k diff seems to be able to be fitted to a M272 car.
Ultimately, the question is whether or not an SLK230 diff will fit a 2007 C230. Again, mine is manual, so I would assume that as long as the diff mounts up I'm good to go.
I just want to be able to autocross without burning a single tire.
