Need Help 911!!!!!! Coolant disappearing quick
This is my first post on here so I hope I get some good feedback. I recently replaced my head gasket on a 2004 c230 M271 engine. Everything was torqued to spec and done correctly by a mechanic and myself. For 2 days everything was one. The car started right up and ran great. All of a sudden while I am driving at work I notice my coolant level is dropping fast. I get out and pop the hood and the reservoir is completely empty so I fill it up and everything is fine again. no overheating....nothing out of the ordinary. I get 10 feet from my house and the car locks up and shuts off. I let the engine cool and then I take a look. Again the coolant is empty. I look at the oil cap and it is full of MAYO. Is it possible that this is being caused by a bad water pump inner seal and the coolant is leaking into the oil near the timing chain since that is where the water pump is? There is coolant in the crankcase but there is NOT oil in the coolant which has me thinking. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
