How long if at all should the information center stay on when removing the key?

How long if at all should the information center stay on when removing the key?
Mine stays on for 30 seconds to a minute after the key is removed, is this normal? I can actually switch through the screens.

Sounds about right. The screen shuts off immediately if you press the lock button on the fob.

On my car the screen defaults to the main (mileage) screen as soon as I turn the key to position 0. As soon as I pull the key out, the steering wheel buttons no longer work, and the radio shuts off too.
