2006 C280 4-Matic Broken Coil Springs F & R, Need Advise
Hi Guys,
Have a 2006 C280 4-Matic and recently broke both a Front Driver's Side and Rear Driver's Side Coil Spring.
Having a hard time locating stock or replacement springs, other that some H&R lowering springs from Tire Rack.
1. Would lowering the car 1&1/2" all around be okay?
2. Should I replace F Struts and R Shocks with higher dampened version?

If the springs are designed with 4Matic in mind, then there won't be a problem as long as you're okay with the reduced ground clearance. 1.5" isn't bad at all. Just have to watch for curbs and speed bumps. 
The optimal setup would be to install dedicated shocks as well, but you can get away with not doing so. The difference is not as big as some people may lead you to think.
