2007 C280 eBrake dash Indicator
Hi all,
My car is a 2007 C280 4Matic. I recently started encountering an issue where my eBrake indicator is getting stuck on.
The issue is as follows: After turning on the engine, I would release the ebrake with the release left of the steering wheel. This disengaged the ebrake mechanically, and my car is able to move freely if i put it in drive or neutral, but the dash indicator for Brake stays on, and if I start driving more than 15 mph, the car started yelling at me that the parking break is engaged.
Before, it would take a few cycles of me pressing the ebrake lever and then releasing before the brake indicator would go, but now it is not going no matter what.
again, the parking brake *seems* to be functioning fine, because if I leave the car in neutral and press the lever, the car stops, and if I release it the car will move, it’s just the indicator that stays on.
any help would be appreciated.
