tail light bulb sizes

im changing all my bulbs over to led bulbs. i saw on one post that the lights for the fogs, brake and parking lights were all 1157 p21 bulbs. so i ordered 6 of them. today i went to install them and only 1 bulb on each side fit on the panel for the taillights. now my question is what size bulbs actually goes in for the taillights? i have the reverse and turn signals changed out and i believe the fog lights (bottom right on the left side and bottom left on the right side taillight) every post i keep seeing from google are saying different sizes so idk which one i really need. thanks in advance.

I think the rear bulb sizes may have changed between the pre-facelift (2002-2004) and facelift (2005-2007) models.

A P21W bulb is equivalent to a 1156 (1 base pin), not a 1157 (2 base pins). That may be the problem you're encountering.

Pop the bulb holder out and look at the metal plates. Not sure about your year, but on mine, the bulb sizes are engraved next to each hole. Also take a look at the markings on the bulbs you took out. For the bottom bulb in the tail light I think you're looking for a P21/4W bulb, which has 2 pins and also doubles as the rear fog.

If all else fails, there is also the manual, which can be found online.

Unfortunately no. There's a reason I'm sticking to incandescents and halogens. There seems to be no good practical way to swap those over. If you find anything good please post here as well. Maybe try a 1157 bulb and see if it fits. I have no idea if it actually does.

On that note, which products are you using for the other bulbs?

i used auxito led error free bulbs for everything. for the headlights and fog lights i used auxbeams rgb bulbs with decoders. but i cant for the life of me get the stupid rgb bulbs to link up by bluetooth to the app.
