C320 Oil Level - Correct method of testing

We have a C320. We have two conflicting oil test results and dont know the right level.
1. Manual test - following the method in the manual, oil level indicated OK

2. On a YouTube vide, an alternative check - holding the odometer reset button down, we get the following output. Oil level shows “-,- quarts”

Which one would be correct..? No oil warning light has come on yet.
Do we fill up or is the oil level OK per the first response?
Thanks

When I perform oil changes I use the Dyno Mode to help determine Oil Level which is the the 2nd one you show.
