Check coolant level often




Leaks often dry up before they drip onto the trays. Checking underneath is not a good indicator. Check the actual engine as there are several plastic pipes known to go bad. See thread above.





There are 3 pipes and 1 nipple that are known for cracking and leaking, as mentioned in that thread above. I highly recommend changing out all 4. The old parts all made of the same inferior grade of plastic so another leak will be imminent. All of mine failed within a few months of each other.
MB changed the grade of plastic used for some of the pipes. Your dealer will have this information. For this reason I recommend only buying OEM (Geniune MB, from a dealer or a reputable distributor) pipes, as this is the only way to guarantee you're getting the ones made from the updated plastic.
